  • View credits, reviews, tracks and shop for the Vinyl release of Systems Of Romance on Discogs/5(7).
  • Nov 05,  · A horrible remaster. The hi-hat is turned disturbingly loud throughout. I suggest that it better be avoided, alongside the white vinyl version Ultravox - Systems Of Romance from that sounds like it has had the same "treatment"/5(86).
  • Overall this album is quite simply ahead of it's time. Had it been released in maybe it would have gone huge, but sadly it was just too advanced for 's listening ears. Comparisons with Midge Ure era Ultravox are unfair, though in all respects Systems of Romance set the blueprint that Ultravox mk2 would use to have greater success/5(5).
  • The best of the Ultravox albums done by John Foxx as lead vocalist and creative source. You can easily see the roots of the more atmospheric "Vienna" in this album, with tracks like "Slow Motion" and "Just For A Moment" prefiguring the band's shift to synthpop under replacement vocalist Midge Ure/5(75).
  • With 's Systems of Romance, Ultravox left punk behind and single-handedly blueprinted the entire new romantic movement to come -- well, with a little help from co-producers Conny Planck and Dave was the brittleness of Ha!-Ha!-Ha!, replaced by a rich lushness of sound that would define the forthcoming esafxikemurdext.wighvolknamidisttipikerapemasu.cong from the political to the interpersonal, gone too was the 7/
  • I was a massive fan of the Ure fronted ultravox and loved albums such as Vienna and rage in Eden. I never bothered with any of the earlier albums and I think what inspired me to buy this album was the release of the latest brilliant album in The thought of not hearing another ultravox album /5(76).
  • Systems of Romance, released on 8 September , is the third album by British new wave band Ultravox (an exclamation mark having been dropped from the moniker earlier in the year). It was the final recording for the group with original lead singer, lyricist and co-composer John Foxx, and their first album without guitarist Stevie Shears, who had left the band.
